Free Summer Activities For Families

Here are some fun ideas for those of you trying to save money but still have an amazing summer:

Skip rocks. Simple, free, fun, lost art.
  1. Have a bike parade.
  2. Have a day of watching movies. Utilize services like NetFlix or Redbox. You can even check them out for free at your local library.
  3. Fly a kite.
  4. Have a family board game party or game night.
  5. Feed the ducks. My children LOVE doing this!
  6. Shop garage sales. You can find board games, movies, etc for cheap, cheap!
  7. Have a picnic at the park, in your living room, or in your front yard.
  8. Go for a Sunday Drive any day of the week.
  9. Visit the nearest beach.
  10. Have a yard sale. Have your children help and learn the value of a dollar.
  11. Have a bon fire and roast marshmallows.
  12. Play in the water (sprinkler, slip and slide, kiddy pool, water balloons)
  13. Welcome the troops at the airport. I have been wanting to take the kids to do this for a long, long time.
  14. Play I Spy.
